During CES 2012 MegaPixel.co.il had the privilege of interviewing Lars Pettersson, product specialist,  Nikon Nordic.

Just a few hours before the release of the upcoming D800 we take a moment to bring you our interview with Nikon conducted during the CES show which took place in Las Vegas on mid January 2012.

A few remarks:

• The interview was edited and the questions added as text because of background noise during CES (fairly normal for large shows).
• The List of lenses mentioned on question 4 as suggested by our readers requiring an update is:

AF-S Nikkor 300mm f/4D IF-ED
AF DC-Nikkor 135mm f/2D
AF Nikkor 180mm f/2.8D IF-ED

• One question that was omitted during editing was:
  • "Several manufacturers are quite open about their upcoming lens line (Samsung, Olympus, Panasonic, Fuji have all published lens roadmaps in the past) – is there a chance we shall see a lens roadmap from Nikon?"
    Lars' answer (cut and dry) No!
